Congress has a long history of providing an arena for a fight between The People and Corporations. 

 Labor unions have helped to create many reforms in America, including better working conditions, higher wages, and better benefits. 

Improved working conditions 

• Safer workplaces: Unions have helped create safer working conditions.
• Reasonable hours: Unions helped create the 40-hour workweek.
• Health insurance: Unions have helped improve health insurance.

Higher wages 

• Unionized workers earn higher wages than non-unionized workers.
• Women represented by unions earn more than non-unionized women.

The fight between Labor and Corporations continues today. Let's level the playing field by removing the Money from Politics.

Workers in developed countries get Leave mandated by their national governments while there are no Federal Statues for any type of  Leave in the US, the wealthiest country in the world.  

165 Million Americans, literally 1/2 the citizens in this country, potentially have needed or will require maternity leave yet there are no federal provisions for Maternity or Family Leave. 

All workers are susceptible to a simple common cold as well as a host of other temporary disabling conditions. Reasonable time off is sometime required for the care of ill family members. Other countries recognize that workers get sick and make allowances. Only 15 states have mandated sick leave for their workers. 

Corporations in other developed countries are profitable while providing  a host of various leaves but Corporations Campaign Contributions in the US silences our Congress.
